Dish from the Hoi An Wreck, late 15e century
The Hoi An wreck was found byfishermen early 1990. Excavation began in 1996 and took 4 years.
The dish is of typical Vietnamese porcelain. Decorated in cobalt blue underglaze from the Hanoi Delta region kilns. The bottom is finished in a chocolat colour, characteristic for Vietnamese porcelain
