Description

Ancient Pre-Columbian Pottery Seated Figures, from West Mexico, Ixlan Del Rio, ca. 200 BC to 300 AD. A lovely matched pair molded in red clay and painted with tan & orange slip highlights. Both sitting cross legged, wearing decorative headdresses and ear clips. Female sits 7-3/4"H, Male sits 8-3/4"H, intact/excellent condition. Getting very hard to find matched pairs today, and when you do, they always come at a premium!
