The foot measures 14.4 cm in height and 16.5 cm in length and is dated to the Late Dynastic Period, 664 - 332 BC. Some of the linen wrapping is still on the object and much of the embalming resin may be seen under this wrapping. The lower portions of the tibia and fibula protrude as do the toes although the proximal and distal phalanx are missing from all five toes. This mummy portion is in excellent condition and is from the curiosity cabinet of a San Diego, California doctor's private collection from the 1920's.<p>Because of shipping restrictions please email us prior to making payment. |
