Pair of wooden stands in the shape of square lotus bases in swirls of clouds. The stands are to be used for small and light Buddhist figures. Wood lacquered black and covered with gold foil. Japan, Meiji period, 19th century.
Height: 12.25 inches (31.1 cm).
Some lacquer chipping along the seam at one base, otherwise very good condition
