| Description |
Sculpture of Gyochu Kishimojin, standing on a lotus base, on top of a rock base, the hands folded in prayer. Finely carved wood with fine gold kirikane on the garment, gold on the lotus base. Eyes crystal. Rock base polychrome wood with some gold. Inscription on the back if the garment in black ink. Inscription on the back of the base and on the bottom of the base. Date on base: Horeki 8 (1758).
Height: 37.5 cm.
Colors on the base soiled and somewhat rubbed, kirikane decoration rubbed at places, on top of head crack along joint in wood blocks, otherwise very good condition.
