A graceful old boar's tusk anchors this spondylus shell disk necklace from the Massim of Goodenough Island, Papua New Guinea. The tusk measures 4.5” from top to bottom and has a satiny butterscotch patina, while the woven fiber neck cord is 24” long. Late 19th to early 20th century. |
